Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Marketing Team in a Box (the “Service”), a network of professional service directories operated by Smart Website Management, owned by Terence Shaw (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Marketing Team in a Box operates a network of online professional directories across North America and the United Kingdom that connect users with service professionals near them. We offer free and paid listing tiers for business owners.

3. User Accounts

When you claim a listing, you receive an authentication token via email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all activity under your account.

Authorized Agents

You may submit, claim, or manage a listing on behalf of another business only if you are its owner or an agent it has authorized to act on its behalf (for example, a marketing or listing-management agency). By doing so, you represent that you hold that authorization and that all information you submit is accurate and not misleading. The business remains the owner of its listing and may reclaim direct control at any time by verifying ownership through us; doing so ends any prior party’s access.

4. Listing Content

Listing owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of information they provide. We reserve the right to remove or modify listings that violate these terms, contain misleading information, or are otherwise inappropriate.

No Endorsement

We operate a directory network. Listing a business does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee of that business, its services, or its qualifications. We do not independently verify the licensing, credentials, or quality of listed businesses. Users should perform their own due diligence before engaging any professional.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion.

Paid Placement

Some listings are promoted through paid plans (“Featured”). Featured listings may appear before other listings in directory and search results and are marked as Featured. Paid placement affects ordering and visibility only; it is not an endorsement, certification, or assessment of quality.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading listing information
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Impersonate another person or business

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Smart Website Management shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Service is available to users in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom; where applicable, the consumer-protection and privacy laws of a user’s province, state, or country may also apply. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your jurisdiction.
